What is the best smoked salmon?

Always try to choose wild salmon over aquaculture one. The best salmon is the one that is wild fished. Wild salmon is healthier and contains more minerals.

Ingredients for this recipe

Leaf salad mix: Use your favorite pack of mixed salad greens.

Smoked salmon: The star ingredient! You can replace it with halloumi cheese for a vegetarian version.

Avocado: It’s creamy and rich. Cut into slices.

Cucumber: Cut into half-moons.

Eggs: Soft boiled or poached.

Sesame seeds: To garnish the salad.

Seasoning: Use salt, black pepper, extra virgin olive oil, and balsamic vinegar to season your salad.

Tips for making this recipe

  • Cut vegetables in different shapes: We eat with our eyes first! Cutting your veggies in different sizes and shapes adds texture and makes the salad look even better.
  • Make ahead: Store the salad in the fridge in a glass container when making ahead.
  • Season the salad when it’s time to eat: Make sure that you only add the seasoning ingredients when it’s time to eat so that your salad doesn’t get soggy.
  • Prevent the avocado from turning brown: If you’re making this salad ahead, brush the avocado with lemon juice to prevent it from turning brown and look unappetizing.
