FAQ

Do you leave the skin on sweet potato when roasting?

Depending on your preference, you can leave or remove the skin on the sweet potato when roasting. For this recipe, we left the skin on our sweet potato wedges.

Should I par boil my sweet potatoes before roasting?

No, you don’t need to parboil sweet potatoes before roasting. Baked sweet potatoes get tender without parboiling.

Why are my sweet potato wedges soggy?

Ensure you evenly spread your sweet potato wedges over the baking tray, and don’t pile them to ensure they don’t become soggy, otherwise they will steam instead of baking.

Tips for making this recipe

  • Dry your sweet potatoes very well: This is a crucial step to ensure they crisp properly.
