Homemade Waffles

This homemade waffles recipe is easy to make and super delicious. Make a batch of these waffles and top them with your favorite toppings like fresh fruit, yogurt, or chocolate chips!

Ingredients  

  • 3 and 1/4 cups all-purpose flour 400 g
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2 tbsp coconut sugar or white sugar
  • 3 eggs at room temperature
  • 2 cups almond milk 480 ml
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • coconut oil to grease

Instructions 

  1. Pre-heat your waffle maker and grease with a little bit of coconut oil with the help of a silicone brush.
  2. Into a large bowl, mix the flour, salt, and baking powder.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs, almond milk, and vanilla extract.
  4. Add the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and gently combine.
  5. Pour the batter into the waffle maker and cook the waffles for 4 minutes or according to the manufacturer's directions.
  6. Serve immediately with your favorite toppings!

Notes

Don't over mix the batter: Over-mixing makes the waffles less fluffy on the inside. Make sure that you gently combine the batter with a spatula.
