- 3.88 oz butter, at room temperature (110 g)
- 1 cup brown sugar (180 g)
- 1/2 cup white sugar (90 g)
- 2 eggs, at room temperature
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 and 1/2 cups all-purpose flour (180 g)
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 and 1/2 cups chocolate chips or chocolate chunks (200 g)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (180 C), and grease a 10-inch oven-proof pan or cast-iron skillet.
- Add butter and sugar into an electric mixer bowl and beat until well blended.
- Next, add the eggs and vanilla extract and beat again.
- Then, add the flour, salt, and baking soda and beat once more until well combined.
- Add the chocolate chips or chocolate chunks into the bowl and combine with a spatula.
- Transfer the cookie mixture into the prepared skillet and press into an even layer.
- Bake for 35 minutes until the edges are lightly golden brown. Allow to cool for 15 minutes and serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Pay attention to the skillet size: Ensure you use the recommended size for this recipe, which is 10-inches. The cookie batter won’t cook properly if you use a smaller one.
